Students’ designs get app-roval

Macclesfield Express - - BOSLEY TRAGEDY -

A GROUP of aspiring artists have designed a logo for a marketing company.

The Fallibroome Academy pupils were asked to design a logo for Gendius, a business consultancy based at the BioHub at Alderley Park.

They wanted a logo to go with Intellin, their new phone app for people with diabetes.

Rory Cameron, director at Gendius, said: “My daughter is at Fallibroome and I am aware of the great work and ideas they have in the Design and Technology department, so it made sense to ask the pupils to design our logo for this launch.

“The pupils have done a fantastic job and we are very pleased with the results which will enable us to go ahead with the concept testing of Intellin with a full launch in April 2016”.

The winning design was created by Beth Lawton, with Thomas England and Siobhan Ardern both named as runners up.

Andy Jones, who teaches at Fallibroome, said: “The students got a real buzz from working with a real company on a real design problem.

“I’d like to thank Gendius for their generous commitment and would welcome other local companies to make use of our very talented young designers.”
