Dancers show off their skills at fun festival

Macclesfield Express - - LOOKING BACK -

A DANCE duo joined other volunteers to perform in a dance for a fun summer festival.

Ria Cajee, 22, and Jade Aitchson, 25, took part in a choreographed routine by Boy Blue Entertainment which created the piece especially for the Quays Summer Festival at MediaCity.

The street dance performance was part of The Quays festival finale and the girls were taught alongside a range of dancers of different ages and abilities.

Jade, who studied dance at university, said: “There were bits (others) would struggle with but they would help us when we struggled.

“It was a two way thing. We banded together.”

The volunteers performed next to Mini Burble, an interactive balloon sculpture that changed colour, created by international digital artists Umbrellium.

Former Fallibroome student Jade added: “It added a whole different element to the movement, it was really atmospheric.”

She added: “Everyone tried really hard.

“The work effort was really good and everyone put a lot of passion into what they were doing.”
