Girl hos­pi­talised after col­li­sion

A NINE-YEAR-OLD girl was se­ri­ously in­jured after a col­li­sion in­volv­ing two cars.

It is be­lieved the girl was tak­ing items out of a parked car when a se­cond car crashed into it.

A spokesman from Cheshire Po­lice said: “At 5.33pm on Sun­day, Au­gust 23, emer­gency ser­vices at­tended a col­li­sion on Ch­ester Road, Mac­cles­field near to Bar­gain Booze.

“A Skoda Fabia trav­el­ling along Ch­ester Road had been in col­li­sion with a Seat Leon which was sta­tion­ary.

“As the col­li­sion oc­curred a nine-year-old girl was get­ting items out of the car.

“The girl re­ceived se­ri­ous in­juries and was taken to Manch­ester Chil­dren’s Hospi­tal.”

The child has been dis­charged from hospi­tal and is now re­cov­er­ing at home.
