Charity ROARS onto web thanks to design agency
A CHARITY which helps people with addiction is raising its profile with a new website.
Reach Out And Recover (ROAR) based on Churchside has teamed up with web design agency Dreamscape to create www. reachoutandrecover.org.
The two were introduced through charity Cheshire Connect, which matches the skills and expertise of businesses with the voluntary and community sector.
The web design company built a new website for ROAR and will provide hosting and ongoing support. Dreamscape also designed a new brand and logo for ROAR.
Bernard McCabe from Dreamscape, said: “The decision to help ROAR was about putting something back into the community. Giving them a new logo and website will hopefully allow them to raise their profile so they can continue to help people.”
Louise Cornes, from Cheshire Connect, added, “I’m delighted Dreamscape have so generously offered their support to ROAR to help them publicise the valuable work they do in the community and to reach out to more people with the services and support they offer.”
Vicky Millward from ROAR said: “We aim for people to see the person, not the addict, as there is a lot of stigma and ignorance around the issue of addiction. At ROAR we believe there is much more to recovery than just putting your substance down.”
Set up in 2014, ROAR is a nine-bedroom recovery project where users receive 24-hr support, activities and workshops to build confidence and help turn away from addiction and crime.
