MACCLESFIELD Town striker Kristian Dennis has no concerns about his team despite a mixed start to the season.

The Silkmen have won just two of their seven games so far this season, leaving them 16th in the National League table.

Dennis is Macclesfield’s leading goalscorer so far this season, and he believes there are promising signs.

“Some of the results haven’t been going our way but performances haven’t been that bad,” he said.

“Against Eastleigh we battled well for the whole game and they caught us with that goal but I think we’ve played fine.

“The Lincoln defeat was disappointing though. I mean we were 2-0 up after five minutes and I thought it could be three, four or five.

“But obviously it went the other way, so it was quite gutting going 2-0 up as early as we did, so we just need to get some consistency going.”
