Fun day raises £700

Macclesfield Express - - BOSLEY DISASTER -

A DAY of en­ter­tain­ment at the New Lib­eral Club in Mac­cles­field raised more than £700 for the Bosley dis­as­ter fund.

There was live en­ter­tain­ment in­clud­ing an af­ter­noon of rock and roll with Paul Par­sons and singer Paul Alexan­der who per­formed in the evening.

Raf­fles prizes were do­nated by Mac­cles­field Golf Club, David of Duke Street, the Cock and Pheas­ant in Bolling­ton, Ge­off As­tle, Paul Bale and Stu­dio 9 pho­tog­ra­phy.

The event fea­tured a bar­be­cue and cake stalls.

Steve War­ren, sec­re­tary at The New Lib­eral Club on Bo­den Street, said: “The ex­plo­sion was shock­ing and we wanted to do some­thing to help.”
