●● A NATIONAL property claims management company is aiming to raise money for the Young Carers charity.
New local business Aspray Macclesfield is hosting a launch event at 6pm on Wednesday, September 23 at The Bubble Room in Bramhall.
Aspray will be donating £1 for each person who attends on the night to the charity.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Stockport will be attending the event.
A charity representative will be presented with a cheque at the end of the evening.
Aspray are leaders in managing property damage insurance claims. ●● AN OPERA group held a fair and car boot to raise money for charity.
Clonter Opera hosted the event at its theatre in Swettenham Heath on Sunday in aid of Cancer Research UK and the Clonter Farm Music Trust.
Attractions included craft stalls, entertainment, classic cars, birds of prey and live music. ●● A SHARED reading group for carers and people living with dementia meets every Tuesday from 10.30am until 11.30am.
The group ‘Make Friends with a Book’ gives participants a chance to relax, make new friends and share reading with others every week in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.The free group meets at Age UK Cheshire East’s Health and Wellbeing Centre, Crossall Street, Macclesfield.
Everyone is welcome to go along.
