●● A NA­TIONAL prop­erty claims man­age­ment com­pany is aim­ing to raise money for the Young Car­ers char­ity.

New lo­cal busi­ness Aspray Mac­cles­field is host­ing a launch event at 6pm on Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 23 at The Bub­ble Room in Bramhall.

Aspray will be do­nat­ing £1 for each per­son who at­tends on the night to the char­ity.

The Mayor and May­oress of Stock­port will be at­tend­ing the event.

A char­ity rep­re­sen­ta­tive will be pre­sented with a cheque at the end of the evening.

Aspray are lead­ers in man­ag­ing prop­erty dam­age in­sur­ance claims. ●● AN OPERA group held a fair and car boot to raise money for char­ity.

Clon­ter Opera hosted the event at its theatre in Swettenham Heath on Sun­day in aid of Can­cer Re­search UK and the Clon­ter Farm Mu­sic Trust.

At­trac­tions in­cluded craft stalls, en­ter­tain­ment, clas­sic cars, birds of prey and live mu­sic. ●● A SHARED read­ing group for car­ers and peo­ple liv­ing with de­men­tia meets ev­ery Tues­day from 10.30am un­til 11.30am.

The group ‘Make Friends with a Book’ gives par­tic­i­pants a chance to re­lax, make new friends and share read­ing with oth­ers ev­ery week in a wel­com­ing and sup­port­ive at­mos­phere.The free group meets at Age UK Cheshire East’s Health and Well­be­ing Cen­tre, Crossall Street, Mac­cles­field.

Ev­ery­one is welcome to go along.
