First-time buyers are heading to Reddish
PRICES in ever-popular south Manchester suburb Reddish are booming according to James Armitage, Reddish area manager for Philip James Wilson, who specialises in the area.
He said: “We are experiencing much greater demand for property in Reddish this year and are achieving considerably higher sale prices.
“Our average sale price for all completions in 2015 thus far has increased just over 10 per cent compared to the same period in 2014.”
With great transport links to Manchester city centre and the motorway network, Reddish is in a favourable location and provides more affordable property choices than some of the neighbouring suburbs.
This is making it an increasingly popular choice for first-time buyers and buy-to-let investors alike.
“I believe the increased demand for the housing stock at the first-time buyer end of the market has stimulated the market at all levels,” he added.
James runs a unique property business covering Reddish and the surrounding area, and offers a bespoke and personal service to his clients.
With the flexible working hours that he operates, as well as his level of knowledge and experience in the industry, he is able to offer a service which is second to none.
Many of his clients are recommending him to their friends and family, which is testament to the level of service they have received.
In addition to the 10 pc house price rise, Philip James Wilson has also managed to achieve 98.5pc of asking prices in 2015 compared with 97pc in the same period in 2014. While this 1.5pc increase may not sound like much, it equates to more than £2,000 on a house worth £150,000. Greg Davies, branch manager at Philip James Wilson, said: “While I accept that market conditions have undoubtedly improved in the past 18 months, I also believe the personal service James provides means he can understand buyers’ requirements better and therefore more accurately match the right buyer with the right property, leading to sale prices closer to, if not at, or over, the asking price.
“We have been particularly busy over the summer months and are in need of fresh properties to sell. If you have a property to sell in the Reddish area James would love to hear from you.”
