MACCLESFIELD Town Ladies’ season kicked off at Moss Farm Recreation Centre at the weekend with three of the clubs age groups represented.

Town Ladies FC Under 13s, the Under 13 Sylks and Under 15s were all in action.

The U13 Sylks were up against Holmes Chaple Hurricans and the home side blew away the opposition with a 5-0 victory.

Sylks dominated the match and won it with a hat-trick from Leah Hanagan and goals from Olivia Delany and Mia Sloan.

The U13s could only manage 1-1 draw against Runcorn Linnets. A tight first half saw the Linnets score first, but Macc drew level in the second half and were unlucky not to win in the last ten minutes, as many chances went astray.

The U15s were up against it from the start.

They were a girl down and playing strong opposition in the form of Congleton Vale FC, who won 5-0.

The U15s started slowly, and were 4-0 by half time, but retained their composure in the second half, only letting one goal in and missing out on a few clear chances.

Macclesfield Town Ladies FC need more players, training Monday nights 7-8, Wednesday 6-7, at Macclesfield Academy allweather pitches. We can be contacted by Email Maccladies@, or Twitter Macctownladies
