Dementia drop-in is planned for October
COMMUNITY care village Belong Macclesfield will be hosting its latest Talk Dementia drop-in session on Thursday, October 15.
The free monthly sessions offer the public a chance to access information on dementia support and services, discuss caring issues and gain advice from mental health professionals.
The event is free to attend and will be hosted by Admiral nurse Caroline Clifton, who works at Belong Macclesfield in partnership with Dementia UK, and Belong dementia champion, Rachael Ward.
Admiral nurses are mental health nurses who specialise in dementia, seeking to improve the quality of life for people affected by dementia.
The event will be held from 2pm to 4pm at the Belong Macclesfield site on Kennedy Avenue.
The talks were launched in February and are aimed at carers and relatives of people living with dementia.
Another drop-in session is planned for Thursday, November 26, from 2pm-4pm.
