GREEN-FINGERED and creative residents of Mottram St Andrew wowed judges at the annual traditional horticultural show.

The occasion marked the 66th year of the event at the village hall which included dozens of competitions to find the best flowers, plants, vegetables, fruit, home cooking, arts, crafts and photography.

Families and friends competed against each other and there were also special children’s classes at the event, ensuring there was something for everyone. Visitors admired the wide range of goods and also enjoyed tucking into a tasty selection of refreshments, including mouth watering cakes specially made for the show.

Volunteers from the Village Hall Committee, Parish Council and WI all joined forces to help ensure the event was a success.
