Yacht captain takes to the air

Macclesfield Express - - MOTORING -

A FORMER luxury yacht captain and a chef have launched their own drone photography business.

An experienced underwater videographer, sailor Greg first started flying drones, or unmanned aerial devices as they are officially known, back in 2011 when a broken foot prevented him from indulging in water sports while based in San Diego in California.

Now with the stringent formal training completed, their firm Lunar-ai.com is one of the very few local organisations to be licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority to operate commercially in the UK.

The pair have settled down in Bollington.

Jinny said: “The most important thing about this industry is the need to protect the safety of the public, buildings and the pilot and crew.”
