AN early au­tumn burst of golden sun­shine has been the per­fect set­ting for a cou­ple of re­cent re­leases of Beau­jo­lais.

Beau­jo­lais can be just the right type of el­e­gant red to drink with lighter game like par­tridge or over an au­tumn pic­nic of cold cuts such as chicken and ham.

Slightly chilled, it also makes for a nice in­ter­lude be­fore the colder weather her­alds the need for heftier reds.
