STRUCK BY TRAIN
A WOMAN was taken to hospital after being hit by a train at Adlington station.
Emergency crews attended after the 53-year-old woman was struck on Wednesday, October 28.
She was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital with serious leg injuries.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “Our officers were called to Adlington station, Macclesfield, at around 6.30pm following reports of a person being struck by a train.
“Colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service, Cheshire Police and Cheshire Fire and Rescue also attended and a 53-yearold woman was removed from the tracks.”
Passengers faced delays after trains were cancelled but services resumed at around 8.30pm.
