●● LOTS of people liked and shared our story about 15-year-old Molly Makepeace who donated all her birthday money to charity Denise Crosby: So generous ! xxx Lauren Caera McCavana Makepeace: Very proud. Joanne Thorpe: What a kind heart. Susan Angela Bond: Well done you x Michael Andrew Beresford: A great gesture. Well done to the parents who brought her up. Mags Long: A very thoughtful deed becomes from a very deepful heart. Rachel Toni Bushy: Fan-
tastic young lady. ●● LOTS of you had something to say on plans for artwork to be installed at the underpass at Waters Green Jack Smith: Good idea I say. Always used to be fascinated looking at all the artwork under big Tesco underpass, used to change practically weekly. I was gutted when they just sprayed it all black, which looks far worse in my opinion. Jean Bedson: Put ghosts on the wall, it sums up Macclesfield town. Shaun Sweetmore: Another idea would be to put more lights down there and half a dozen cctv cameras to deter any ne’er do wells. Then again, slapping some paint on the walls is the much cheaper option isn’t it, and it’s so much more fiscal than protecting the public, after all, why would we care about that? Erika Groeneveld: They’ve already put new lighting and several cctv cameras there in the past couple of months as well as tidied up the greenery as also stated in the article. The artwork is extra, what’s not to like? Shaun Sweetmore: It’s not enough and people still avoid the area because of the threat of safety Craig Morrison: I remember the artwork under the underpass near Hibel Road Tesco when I was younger. Jessica Hammond: How is graffiti going to make this better? It’s just going to create more mither with groups wanting to make their own mark on the underpass. Pete Watson: Yeah because pretty pictures will stop people getting hit with bricks. Niall Going John Cotterill: Make it a graffiti zone.
