ORGANISERS behind this year’s North East Cheshire Business Awards say the event is a chance to rub shoulders with the best of the area’s business community.
There are now just a couple of weeks until the event, which features 10 categories of awards to celebrate the best firms in Macclesfield and surrounding area.
There has been a record number of businesses entering this year. The shortlist of finalists in each category has been picked and judges have the tough job of choosing the winners.
The firms will be presented with awards at the gala dinner event at The Mere on November 19.
Organisers from Macclesfield Chamber of Commerce urge people to get tickets for the event, which they say is the ultimate networking opportunity.
Sue Bowden, manager of Macclesfield Chamber of Commerce, said: “The finalists have been shortlisted and the focus now is on the gala dinner.
“Our fifth year has seen a record number of companies entering and the standard and level of entries has been outstanding, so the gala dinner is going to be an exciting culmination of a fantastic year for the awards.
“Tickets are selling fast now that the finalists have been announced, so book your table and join us for what promises to be the biggest business event in North East Cheshire.
“It’s a fantastic black tie event, starting at 6.45pm with a champagne reception followed by a threecourse dinner and the awards ceremony, and we are delighted to have James Timpson OBE as our guest speaker.
“Everyone knows the Timpson name from the high street but there’s a lot more to tell, so we look forward to hearing James’ fascinating story.
“And to round off the evening with a celebratory party atmosphere, there will be dancing and music from Nathan Turner, then carriages at 12.30pm. The awards are a fantastic networking opportunity.”
The night is also a chance to support well-loved Sutton charity The Rossendale Trust, which cares for adults with learning and physical disabilities.
Donations made on the night and money from a raffle and auction will go to the charity.
The gala dinner at The Mere in Knutsford is on Thursday, November 19.
