School fights cancer with cake
A PRIMARY school raised cash to help those with cancer.
Staff at Vernon Primary School in Poynton joined thousands of other around the country in staging a Macmillan coffee morning to show their support for the charity.
Teachers, teaching assistants and office staff enjoyed lots of homemade cakes and sweet treats.
Macmillan aims to make sure no one faces cancer alone by providing medical, emotional, practical and financial support.
Claire Morgan from the school said: “So far they have raised £145 but will continue adding to this total in order to enhance the work of this worthwhile cause.”
