Abby’s tri­umph aboard Seren­ity

ABBY Jade Todd was cel­e­brat­ing re­cently af­ter she won the Horse­wares Na­tional In­ter­me­di­ate Fi­nals.

The event was held at Eland Lodge, with the 13-year-old from Mac­cles­field Rid­ing Club rid­ing her horse Seren­ity to vic­tory.

It was a mas­sive com­pe­ti­tion with four lev­els of rid­ers all com­pet­ing, in­clud­ing be­gin­ners, novices, in­ter­me­di­ates and an open sec­tion.

The or­gan­is­ers said there was over 20,000 rid­ers who had com­peted ini­tially at dif­fer­ent clubs from all over England, Scot­land and Wales to try and qual­ify.

Abby and Seren­ity did a fab­u­lous clear over the tough cross coun­try course and were 00.00.08 sec­onds close to the op­ti­mum time to take first prize.

By win­ning, Abby was awarded with a fab­u­lous tro­phy, a Horse­wares voucher and a travel rug.

The young­ster has owned Seren­ity since March and they have had an amaz­ing first sea­son to­gether, in­clud­ing win­ning their first Bri­tish Event­ing event at Llanymynech.
