Striker Styche signs for Silkmen
MACCLESFIELD Town have bolstered their forward options after signing striker Reece Styche until the New Year.
The 26-year-old joins the Silkmen on loan from fellow National League side Kidderminster Harriers.
He made his debut for his new team on Saturday, coming on as a second half substitute during the 1-0 defeat to Braintree.
It provides manager John Askey with more competition up front, and the Macclesfield boss is delighted to have Styche on board.
“We needed another striker as we only had Kristian who was fit, so Reece knows what it is all about,” he said.
“He has regularly played at this level and hopefully he can offer something different to the team.”
Styche has plenty of experience competing in the division, having made over 100 appearances during a four year stint with Forest Green Rovers from 2010 to 2014.
The forward has also played in League Two having spent time on loan with Wycombe Wanderers last year, but he failed to score a goal during his spell with the club.
He recently represented Gibraltar at international level, making his debut in a 4-1 defeat to the Faroe Islands, and also played a match for the England C team in 2011.
