Autumn fair a success for chapel funds
THE team behind a charity autumn fair have said it was a great success.
Members from Langley Methodist Chapel organised the annual autumn fair for the community.
It was held to raise money for chapel funds and also for a variety of charities which the chapel supports through the year.
The committee has said the event was a great success, raising around £700 for the causes.
Stalls at the event included a variety of goods including crafts, bric-a-brac, cakes, books, children’s toys, handbags and jewellery.
Refreshments were served in the morning, as well as lunches.
There was also a demonstration of Scottish dancing by the Langley Scottish Dancing Group, with bagpipe solos.
Barrie McQuinn, from the church, said: “Admission to the event was free and everyone from the community was welcome.
“There was around £700 raised for chapel funds and charities that we support throughout the year.
“In addition to the usual stalls there was an excellent demonstration of Scottish dancing with a couple of bag pipe solos.
“It was a very successful event.”
The chapel is looking forward to another event coming up when Macclesfield Male Voice Choir will perform a Christmas Concert.
The concert will take place on Friday, December 4 at 7pm at Langley Methodist Chapel.
Tickets cost £7 which includes tea or coffee and biscuits.
