Joanne scoops care award
A CARE worker is celebrating after winning at the CLS Care Services’ prestigious Star Awards ceremony.
Joanne Donnelly received the Care Professional of the Year award for her work at Parklands in Poynton.
The title is awarded to an individual who has delivered high quality person-centred care consistently and to the highest standard.
Commenting on Joanne’s win, Andrea Male, from West Cheshire College, one of the 10 independent judges at the CLS Star Awards, said: “Joanne is a prime example of a devoted staff member. Her personcentred values come through effortlessly.”
The awards ceremony was held at Jodrell Bank Observatory.
The winners of the Star Awards were selected following interviews with independent judges from organisations including Skills for Care, Dementia Care Matters, West Cheshire College, the National Activity Providers Association, Cognisco, and the Royal College of Nursing.
The Star Awards are open to all CLS staff members.
Colleagues and visitors to CLS care homes are able to nominate the people and teams who make an exceptional contribution to the organisation’s residents, customers and staff.
Presenting at the awards were CLS Group Head of People, Phil Orton, and Lindsey Dawson of Skills for Care.
CLS also operates care homes in Macclesfield and Bollington.
