It’s Self Care Week, a na­tional cam­paign which aims to help peo­ple take care of them­selves, and lets them know what’s avail­able to help them look af­ter their health.

This year’s theme is ‘self-care for life’, which in­cludes help­ing peo­ple bet­ter understand how to look af­ter any mi­nor ail­ments or long-term con­di­tions , as well as how to pre­vent ill health by choos­ing healthy op­tions for good phys­i­cal and men­tal well­be­ing.

One of the really ex­cit­ing ini­tia­tives we’re un­der­tak­ing to en­cour­age self-care in East­ern Cheshire is the CATCH app. CATCH stands for Com­mon Ap­proach to Chil­dren’s Health, which sym­bol­ises the joined-up ap­proach to care that we have adopted in East­ern Cheshire. We’ve teamed up with our part­ners NHS South Cheshire CCG and Pub­lic Health Cheshire East to com­mis­sion the
