Fashion show is a runaway hit for trust
TENANTS at a charity strutted their stuff in a special fashion show to raise a massive £3,000.
The fashion event was organised in aid of the Rossendale Trust, in Sutton, which provides accommodation for adults with learning and physical disabilities, as well as a host of activities for the people it helps.
Service users modelled clothes provided by SOS Boutique in Bramhall at the event in Tytherington.
Sue Heaven, head of fundraising at the trust, said: “It was a wonderful evening, and a great chance to raise funds with – and for – the people we support.”
An impressive 200 guests attended the event, raising more than £3,000 for the charity – more than ever before.
The partnership with SOS Boutique has so far produced five fashion events, with the shows going from strength to strength.
The money from this year’s event will go towards the trust’s activity fund, a pot of money that helps tenants to access activities they may not be able to do independently.
This could include a holiday which they have always wanted to go on but requires more support or adaptations.
