Goals aplenty in our side insists Kris

Macclesfield Express - - SPORT -

KRISTIAN Dennis insists the Macc side are full of goals – with or without him,

Dennis has scored 17 goals in 21 games this season and is the second top goalscorer in the division – but despite that the 25-year-old does not believe Macc are over reliant on him.

“It’s not just me, like in the game against Altrincham (3-0 win), three different scorers then, three different scorers today,” said Dennis after the win at Woking.

“So it’s not just all on me, so that’s good. Obviously I’m happy (with the hat-trick), can’t really believe it to be honest. I’m really happy.”

The Silkmen have scored more goals than three teams above them in the league and they have the fifth best goal difference, leaving Dennis confident when they are attacking.

“Every time we go forward I think we’re going to score, not just me but as a team I think we will score. When you’ve got that in the team you won’t be too far away,” he said.

“I think the game against Cheltenham was the only game that we lost in midfield, but every game we’ve played we’ve practically battered teams to be honest.

“If you’re going to concede two goals you might as well do it when you score five, instead of a 2-0 defeat. We’ve been quite solid at the back.”

Macclesfield now look ahead to Saturday’s game against Bromley, who they lost to earlier this season and Dennis is confident for revenge at home.

“We shouldn’t have lost that game up there,” he said. “They will be confident but we can beat anyone at home.”
