Askey’s men can build momentum

Macclesfield Express - - SPORT -

MACCLESFIELD could yet be involved in a promotion charge this season, with the Silkmen having enjoyed back-to-back victories in the National League recently.

A 3-0 win against Altrincham was followed by a spectacular 5-2 success at Woking, with Bromley the visitors to Moss Rose on Saturday afternoon.

Despite the visitors sitting slightly higher in the table, it is John Askey’s team who are warm favourites to land another three point haul, with bet365 going even money that Macclesfield continue their impressive form. The draw is an 11/4 shot with Ladbrokes, while Bromley are 5/2 (Sky Bet) to claim victory in Cheshire.

The visitors are ninth in the table and have lost their way in recent weeks, with just one win in their last six matches although they do have the division’s leading scorer.

Moses Emmanuel is on fire this season and he’s a 5/1 chance (Paddy Power) to break the deadlock, although Kristian Dennis is the market leader to score the first goal.

The striker helped himself to a hat-trick against Woking last weekend and he’s 9/2 (William Hill) to score the first of this match, while another threetimer for the forward can be backed at 50/1 (Winner.com).
