Fes­tive feast from choir and school chil­dren

WITH De­cem­ber just around the cor­ner, a choir is get­ting ready to put ev­ery­one in the fes­tive spirit.

Once again mem­bers of the pub­lic are in­vited to enjoy the ‘Carols for All’ con­cert at the United Re­formed Church on Park Green.

The event, which over the years has raised thou­sands for char­ity, will be led by the Thomas Cran­mer Choir, with chil­dren from Gawsworth and Park Royal schools also tak­ing part.

Con­ducted by Keith Years­ley MBE with John Py­att on or­gan, it will be­gin at 7pm on Mon­day, De­cem­ber 14.

The money raised through tick­ets and a col­lec­tion on the night will go to­wards re­search into Bat­ten’s Dis­ease, a dis­ease which pre­vents chil­dren from reach­ing ma­tu­rity.

The char­ity was cho­sen af­ter or­gan­is­ers were in­spired by Ol­lie’s Army, a fundrais­ing group set up by the par­ents of Ol­lie and Amelia Car­roll, from Poyn­ton, who have been di­ag­nosed with the dis­ease.

Tick­ets cost £3 from a mem­ber of the choir. Chil­dren aged 11 or un­der go free with a pay­ing adult.
