Charity appeal for new trustees
A CHARITY which supports vulnerable adults around Macclesfield is on the look out for new trustees to join its board.
The East Cheshire Housing Consortium (ECHC) supports around 80 vulnerable individuals by providing essential support services within the community.
Over the course of the last two years, the organisation continues to grow and works closely with the community teams to develop and maintain support programmes across the region.
With further growth planned, the organisation is looking for two trustees to help guide its direction.
James Bisset, chairman, said: “We’re looking for people who can help the organisation deliver on its strategic performance and wider business plan.
“The individual needs to have a broad background of business expertise and can help us respond to the increasing demand of providing services to vulnerable people living in the local community. It’s important that the new trustees have passion, ideas and good connections within East Cheshire.”
Trustees need to be available to attend a meeting every six weeks, as well as the occasional informal meeting.
Brenda Wright, chief executive officer for the organisation, added: “The meetings are held at the offices of ECHC and give the trustees the opportunity to be a sounding board for the rest of the ECHC team in relation to new developments and our continued expansion.”
