Appeal after schoolboy followed
POLICE say they are investigating after receiving reports that a schoolboy was followed home on two occasions.
A mother told the Express her 13-year-old son was followed twice by a man as he walked home from Macclesfield Academy.
The youngster was walking with a friend on Park Lane when he noticed a car drive past before passing again in the other direction at around 4pm on Tuesday, December 15.
He then noticed it again on Chapel Street and Old Mill Lane.
On Thursday, December 17, as he walked home around 4.20pm he said he saw the same car drive past and wait outside his home. Sgt Helen Percival, Cheshire police, said: “We don’t appear to have had any more reports and are following lines of enquiry after speaking with the family.
“Anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in these areas between 4pm to 5pm should contact police.
“It is important to note the man didn’t approach or speak to the teenager but his behaviour caused concern and we would like to speak with the man to establish the circumstances.
“In the meantime we continue to ask people to report any suspicious behaviour.”
Contact police on 101 quoting incident number 643 of December 17.
