Radio Canalside 102.8FM
THERE are a few changes to our broadcasting schedule to start off the New Year.
Firstly we say farewell and thanks to Jessica Foley who has presented various shows over the past few years and is now moving on to new things, including presenting the travel reports on various commercial radio stations.
Ricky Freelove left us just before the festive period and has gone to work on local community television. It just goes to show how good a grounding community radio gives to people who want to make a career in the media.
Jess and Ricky follow people such as Keisha Spence and Fiona Sadler who went on to commercial radio after having training with us.
New presenters are being trained up and you will be able to listen to them in a few weeks’ time. Our restaurant of the week and takeaway treat competitions have now restarted for the New Year. Tune in to 102.8FM or take a look at www.thethread.org. uk to find out how you could win vouchers to spend at some top local restaurants.
Finally we would like to thank Incom Telecommunications and Denis Slattery who have been one of our main sponsors for the last five years. If you have a business that you think may benefit from advertising on the Thread network, give the office a call on 01625 576689 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. uk.
