Turner’s eager to tred new territory
RHYS Turner is excited to play for a team chasing promotion for the first time in his career after joining Macclesfield Town on loan.
The 20-year-old has joined until the end of the month from League One side Oldham Athletic.
Turner began his career at Stockport before joining Oldham, and also had a loan spell at York City earlier this season.
All of those teams have had mixed fortunes in the league, and Turner is looking forward to experiencing something different.
“I’ve not played for a team that is doing well before as every team I’ve played for has been struggling,” he said.
“It’s always been an uphill grind so hopefully for Macclesfield it can be a smoother ride.
“Now I’m here I’m buzzing and I need to do well for Macc by getting a few games under my belt and scoring a few goals, then we’ll see what happens at the end of this month.”
Turner met with Macclesfield manager John Askey prior to signing, and he revealed it was an easy decision after meeting the boss.
