Students boost company’s recruitment drive
MACCLESFIELD College students used their digital know-how to create a recruitment video for one of the town’s largest employers.
Ashfield Healthcare Communications asked three students from the college to help them create a video to attract the best talent from the medical communications sector and educate those outside the industry.
After contacting the company as part of a digital communications project, students worked with staff to understand the roles the company recruits for, before presenting their ideas.
Tracey Ellis, the company’s HR Recruiter, said: “The students had a real interest in science and brought a fresh perspective and creative ideas to our recruitment drive. [The video] will provide a platform for us to engage with students to raise our profile as a progressive employer, and to help spread the word about our career opportunities to younger audiences, the next generation of healthcare communications professionals.”
Student Tom Willis, said the experience had been ‘invaluable’, adding: “Working with such a prestigious company will look fantastic on my CV.”
