Travel agent celebrates success with Gary Barlow and Vernon Kay
A TRAVEL agent joined more than 1,400 colleagues from across the world to celebrate the success of her business.
Anita Devonport, of Fieldbank Road, Macclesfield, runs her own travel business from home as part of Travel Counsellors.
The mum-of-two was invited to an event at Manchester Central to celebrate her hard work, gain tips and information, and enjoy performances by a host of stars.
The three-day event featured talks by inspirational speakers Katie Piper and Chris Moon, a performance by John Bishop and an intimate show by Gary Barlow.
It was hosted by television personality Vernon Kay and gave Anita the opportunity to meet more that 200 travel suppliers, including tourist board, hotel and airline representatives.
The theme of the conference was ‘doing the right thing’, celebrating dedication to keeping customers at the heart of the business.
Anita said: “The conference really was amazing.
“Apart from the spectacular entertainment, we also had extremely useful business sessions where we were updated on the company’s future developments and given insightful travel advice and tips for the year ahead, as well as hearing from inspiring guest speakers that have left me more motivated than ever.
“I am really excited to put all the new insights I’ve learnt into practice, benefitting my customers and enabling me to deliver an even more personalised travel service.”
