Ar­chi­tec­ture ex­hi­bi­tion launches

AN ex­hi­bi­tion will show­case work by 20 post­grad­u­ate ar­chi­tec­ture stu­dents who have been work­ing with the town’s neigh­bour­hood plan team.

The stu­dents from Con­ti­nu­ity in Ar­chi­tec­ture, a post­grad­u­ate pro­gramme at Manch­ester School of Ar­chi­tec­ture for more than 20 years, have been work­ing with Bolling­ton Arts Cen­tre to present the Odd­ments and Epi­grams ex­hi­bi­tion.

The stu­dents have been work­ing with the Neigh­bour­hood Plan­ning Com­mit­tee in Bolling­ton which is de­vel­op­ing a plan to make sure the town doesn’t lose its char­ac­ter and her­itage. The part­ner­ship aims to de­velop a mas­ter­plan for Bolling­ton to iden­tify ar­eas where de­vel­op­ment should take place, pro­pose de­signs for new build­ings and rec­om­mend ar­eas for pub­lic space.

The ex­hi­bi­tion will fea­ture some of this work.

It opens on Sun­day, Jan­uary 17 from 7pm at Bolling­ton Arts Cen­tre for three days from 10am to 5pm.
