In the summer of 2015 former Auschwitz clerk Oskar Groening – then aged 93 – was charged as an accessory to the murder of more than 300,000 Jews at the infamous death camp. During the subsequent trial, 81-yearold Auschwitz survivor Eva Kor was called to give her testimony on the medical experiments she endured at the hands of Josef Mengele.
