BIG PICTURE

DON’T LOSE GREEN BELT

friends to make them smile. I am a 72 year old Mother and Grandmother and have lived in Macclesfield since 1985. Barbara Bennett (Mrs) The Whitfields Macclesfield had five children, including my grandfather Thomas Edmund Slack, born 1869.

I have searched for a long time to try and find where James was buried, he is not in the grave in Sutton churchyard with his wife Margaret, and also who were his parents?

I also think he had a brother called Abraham.

Both James and Abraham were silk workers, and on the 1841 census they lived at Bank Edge Wildboarclough as lodgers.

Maud Slack went on to marry James Sidgely a police sergeant in Macclesfield.

Please feel free to e mail me if you have any information which would help me eildor72@ hotmail.co.uk

I also think Hyde in Cheshire has a family connection. Thomas E Slack via email
