No fear of Forest insists Byrne
MACC defender Neill Byrne says his side will have no fear when they face promotion contenders Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.
The Silkmen head into the match after back-to-back defeats, losing at home to both Halifax and Aldershot in recent weeks.
Despite those losses, Byrne remains convinced that his side has what it takes to cause an upset this weekend.
“We’ve played Forest Green at home this season and won so we won’t fear them,” he said.
“We will go out there confident and see what we can do, as we know we can beat anybody.
“It was a disappointing defeat last week but we need to stick together as a team and hopefully get out of this bad form.
“Sometimes it just doesn’t go well but we’ve played worse than that and got results, so I’m sure we will get out of this rot.”
Macclesfield will be without several players for this weekend’s game, after Adam Anson, Louis Robles and Chris Chantler all departed the club.
Anson and Robles have returned to parent club Wigan Athletic after spending the last few weeks on loan at Macc, while Chantler has left the Silkmen to join FC United of Manchester.
