Five new faces as law company sees growth
LAW firm SAS Daniels, which has a base in Macclesfield, has recruited five new lawyers.
Neil Powell has joined as a partner in the commercial property team, along with solicitor Emily Clarke and associate solicitors Stewart Smith and Scott Tams.
Amy Dickens, also an associate solicitor, has joined the residential property team, which has seen a 100 per cent increase in cases in the last year.
New partner Neil brings with him 30 years of commercial property experience, specialising in regeneration and development in both the private and public sector.
He has acted for local government in education and retail, and, in his new role, will support the growing commercial property team, and improve development and regeneration services.
He will cover the firm’s offices in Macclesfield, Chester and Congleton, while based at the Stockport office.
Meanwhile, new solicitor Emily joined SAS Daniels from DWF in August on a temporary basis to help support a large increase in property deals, and has now taken a permanent role at the company.
Associate solicitor Stewart has 23 years of commercial property experience and specialises in the renewable energy sector.
He previously led the legal team at AMEC Wind Energy and worked on renewable energy schemes at law firm, MFG, and will now be based at SAS Daniels’ Chester office.
Fellow associate solicitor Scott has joined SAS Daniels from Fieldings Porter, and Amy from Birchall Blackburn Law, and will both work in the property team at the firm’s Stockport office.
James Clarke, partner and head of the commercial property team at SAS Daniels, said: “We’re delighted to have made such strong and experienced hires in the commercial and residential property teams.
“Both Neil and Stewart bring experience of the public sector and energy service areas and Emily has already proved her worth over the last few months and is now an integral part of the team, delivering sound advice for clients.
“The property team is currently in a period of rapid growth, with a number of new clients and cases. These five new appointments will not only help us support these new clients but also allow us to address new markets.”
