ATRAVEL company has won an award for its luxury breaks at the British Travel Awards.

Destinology, based in Alderley Road, Wilmslow, was crowned Best Luxury Holiday Company at a gala awards ceremony in London, attended by almost 1,000 people from the travel industry.

Joy Woodside, Destinology’s operations manager, attended the evening and accepted the award.

She said: “I know I speak for the whole team at Destinology when I say we are simply delighted to win Best Luxury Holiday Company at the British Travel Awards.

“It was a superb evening with fabulous entertainment and it was a great honour to attend and receive our award.”

British Travel Awards’ chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: “More than a quarter of a million consumers voted this year to determine the winners of the British Travel Awards.

“It’s the largest awards programme in the UK and to win is a clear statement that companies are providing excellence in travel to the discerning consumer.

“The travelling public regards a winner’s logo as the benchmark for excellence and Destinology are to be congratulated on their achievement.”
