Stars party at Arighi Bianchi char­ity sup­per

SIR Alex Fer­gu­son and golfer Jamie Don­ald­son were among guests at the launch of Arighi Bianchi’s chal­lenge to raise £40,000 for East Cheshire Hospice.

The event, a ‘ Sup­per and So­prano’ evening, was held in the store’s can­dlelit cafe bar.

the event, which raised £3,000 to­wards the busi­ness’s Char­ity Chal­lenge 2016, in­cluded Rugby League star Mark Flana­gan.

Nick Bianchi, com­mer­cial di­rec­tor at Arighi Bianchi, said: “We had a fab­u­lous evening stuffed full of Ital­ian food, mu­sic and sto­ries.

“Our singer

resi- dence, Rachael Rus­sell, brought the store down with her beau­ti­ful so­prano voice and it was lovely to share tales of our his­tory too.

“It was great to share the evening with so many cus­tomers and friends, but of course the best bit was rais­ing over £3,000 for East Cheshire Hospice.

“This event marks the be­gin­ning of our Char­ity Chal­lenge for 2016 and we’re de­ter­mined to raise the full £40,000 to spon­sor a qual­i­fied hospice nurse for a whole year.”
