Having fun in the froth
AMY Burton is expecting to work herself into a lather at Bubble Rush 2016.
She is excited about finishing up covered in foam during the 5km challenge at Oulton Park Race Circuit on Saturday, May 14.
Amy is one of hundreds of participants tackling 5ft walls of different coloured bubbles in this novel event organised by East Cheshire Hospice and St Luke’s Hospice.
Gym and work colleagues will be joining her on the route, all game for a laugh for a good cause.
Amy, who works for Aspire Housing, said: “Unfortunately, I missed the deadline to enter last year and it sounded great fun. I’ve done events where I’ve ended up covered in mud so it’ll be nice get soaked in foam instead.
“Some of our group haven’t done this type of challenge before so it’ll be a nice way to ease them round the course, though there will be a lot of froth involved.
“We’re doing this for a great cause and realise just how much fundraising means to the Hospice so it can continue to provide excellent patient care.”
Amy will be supported on the day by husband James and five-year-old son Joshua.
There is no age limit to taking part and the route is child friendly. Entry is £25 and £7.50 for children 14 and under.
There is live entertainment and a free Bubble Rush t-shirt and medal for every Bubbler.
