Come and be part of a dramatic costumed tour of the state rooms and servants’ quarters, followed by high tea. Travel back in time to 1909 and delve into the rich history of this splendid family home, and find out who really runs the household. Join Lord Egerton’s dignified butler, Mr New, and formidable housekeeper, Mrs Cork, for a tour of the staterooms and servants’ quarters quarters. The tour is a unique opportunity to put yourself in the shoes of an Edwardian servant and really get a taste of what life was like for the genteel and those ‘below stairs’. Explore with us the diverse experiences of the people who owned, visited and worked at the Egerton family’s country seat. The tour will be followed by a high tea, hosted by your butler and housekeeper in Lord Egerton’s apartment.
