What does it in­volve?: Treat your mother to a visit to Tat­ton Park this Mother’s Day for an en­ter­tain­ing, hu­mor­ous and in­ter­ac­tive day out. Come and be part of a dra­matic cos­tumed tour of the state rooms and ser­vants’ quar­ters, fol­lowed by high tea. Travel back in time to 1909 and delve into the rich his­tory of this splen­did fam­ily home, and find out who re­ally runs the house­hold. Join Lord Eger­ton’s dig­ni­fied but­ler, Mr New, and for­mi­da­ble house­keeper, Mrs Cork, for a tour of the state­rooms and ser­vants’ quar­ters quar­ters. The tour is a unique op­por­tu­nity to put your­self in the shoes of an Ed­war­dian ser­vant and re­ally get a taste of what life was like for the gen­teel and those ‘below stairs’. Ex­plore with us the di­verse ex­pe­ri­ences of the peo­ple who owned, vis­ited and worked at the Eger­ton fam­ily’s coun­try seat. The tour will be fol­lowed by a high tea, hosted by your but­ler and house­keeper in Lord Eger­ton’s apart­ment.
