Se­nior on top in Styal’s se­nior event

STYAL’S ever-ac­tive se­niors were in two com­pe­ti­tions with a Four Club Sta­ble­ford see­ing Clive Se­nior show his flex­i­ble tal­ents with a win­ning score of 38 points well clear of Richard Vaal 34 and Paul Law­day, Steve Wild and Dave Mar­riott, all 33.

Two days later they were in Win­ter League ac­tion with Richard Vaal as the top gun with 40 points from Harry Reid 37 and Chris Bail­lie 36.

In a Two from Three Team Sta­ble­ford at Styal Alan Brooks, Ed­die Birchenough and Ian Bur­nage cruised to vic­tory with 85 points leav­ing Steve Weaver, Roger Row­land and Harry Reid five points adrift.

In a Sun­day Sta­ble­ford at Styal the lead­ing ladies were Claire Whit­ney 32 and He­len Billing­ton 24.

A Thurs­day Sta­ble­ford at Shrigley Hall was won by Howard Row­ley with 40 points from Richard Bur­row 38 and Lynn Heathcote 37.

The Ninth Round of the Shrigley Win­ter League had a clear win­ner in Daniel Hen­shaw with 41 points ahead of Richard Bur­row 38 and Ian Wadsworth and Niall Lynch, both 37.

Medal ac­tion at Mot­tram Hall had Ross Birch on fire with 64 from Mike Davis 67 and Peter Smith and Robert Parry, both 68.

Alder­ley Edge ladies played a Yel­low Ball am am and it was won by San­dra Smith, Mary O’Toole and Pres­i­dent Gwyneth Holt.

The Alder­ley Edge Win­ter League saw the Cap­tain and pro­fes­sional win a keen con­test with Steve Yakub and Ian Broughton by 5/3 and the team of Fo­den, Peck, Lane and Fes­mer still lead them by two points.

A pro’s 9-hole Sta­ble­ford at Alder­ley saw the divi­sions topped by Mike Troup and David Sibanda with 19 and 23 points re­spec­tively and a good round by Andy Wells keeps him on top of the Win­ter Ag­gre­gate.

Mac­cles­field’s men played a Maxas Scram­ble with Andy Baker and Chris Hawkins lead­ing in with 39.8 from Peter Lloyd and Sean Smith 40.2 and Mark Bri­er­ley and Peter Holmes 40.8.
