FIRE­FIGHT­ERS were called to put out a fire in a farmer’s field in Ket­tleshulme.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred at Side End Lane at 5pm on Tues­day, Fe­bru­ary 16.

A spokesper­son from Cheshire Fire and Res­cue Ser­vice said: “Fire­fight­ers were called to a re­port of a fire in Ket­tleshulme. The fire was con­trolled burn­ing but the fire ser­vice were called and wa­ter back­packs were used to put out the fire.”
