Fed up dad is promoting dog poo campaign

A DAD is backing a colourful campaign encouraging dog owners to clean up after their pets.
Martin Smith, of Prestbury Road, is promoting Izzy’s Poopy Shoo, a project to battle one of the town’s dirtiest problems.
Using colourful, eye-catching posters designed by cartoonist Marc Jackson, Martin is hoping families across the town will put them in their windows.
Martin, who was an independent candidate in last May’s borough council elections, hopes the campaign takes off nationally.
Martin said: “There are A DANCE school is celebrating after it was selected to represent Team England at the Dance World Cup.
Bella Danza Dance School, which meets at Duke’s Court in the town centre, will travel to the Channel Island of Jersey for the event in June.
This year the group has qualified in four categories: mini ballet group, for children aged five to nine; children’s ballet group, age nine to 13; junior modern and contemporary group, age 11 to 17; and children’s always going to be instances where the elderly, or visually impaired owners struggle in clearing up after their dogs, but it stands to reason the more people we can encourage to pick up their dog’s poop the more we will all benefit from cleaner streets.”
Izzy’s Poopy Shoo was inspired by his neighbour’s six-year-old daughter Izzy, who was so fed up with the issue she put a hand-drawn poster in her front window.
Martin liked the idea so much he developed it on social media, creating a Facebook page to encourage other children to do the same in their area. ballet solo on pointe.
It is the second consecutive year the group will have travelled to the competition. Last year they helped Team England win the overall title for the third year in a row.
Rashana Vigerstaff from the school said: “In total 40 girls, plus parents, siblings and teachers are flying out to Jersey.

In the latest push for poo-free streets, Martin teamed up with businesses Euroscales Ltd on Shaw Street and Kids Allowed on West Park Drive in Macclesfield to produce some large banners for outside his children’s school, Parkroyal.
He said: “I’ve noticed an appalling amount of dog foul on the streets leading to and on Athey Street.
“As there are no houses opposite the school the previous poster shaming technique isn’t viable.” Future Final 2015, two girls won the Overall Duet Title at The Stars of the Future Final 2015 and the highest Duet Trophy Mark at Stockport Festival 2015.
“Another girl was the winner at the Junior Cabaret Challenge at Wrexham Festival 2015, another the Senior Cabaret Challenge.
“Two girls won half scholarships for the English youth ballet’s Nutcracker 2015, with one of the girls taking the lead role in the ballet, and two of the girls won places on the Stagebox Elite Team.”
