Dash dreams Wrexham are tipped to see off Silkmen

Macclesfield Express - - SEARCH -

HAVING lost only one of their last seven matches, it’s no surprise to see Wrexham installed as Betfred’s marginal 8/5 favourites to overhaul Macclesfield on Saturday.

Nevertheless, though the Silkmen have suffered three consecutive league defeats, their 17/10 price (bet365) to return to winning ways at Moss Road has certainly caught the eye of punters who believe those odds to be a tad too frothy.

Indeed, a sizeable number of backers expect them to secure at least a point and Stan James’s 12/5 for it to finish on level terms cannot be discounted.

More bullish folk may prefer Skybet’s 7/2 for both halves to end all-square, or else the 13/2 chalked by Ladbrokes against it ending one apiece.

Macclesfield last kept a clean sheet when beating Tranmere at the beginning of last month, hence they’re 7/2 with William Hill to win while preventing Wrexham from scoring. If those odds appear less than generous, the same cannot be said of Coral’s 11/2 for Town to emerge victorious at 90 minutes following a drawn opening half.

Paddy Power rates the chances of both teams scoring at 5/6, but BetVictor’s massive 15/2 for the home side to record a 1-0 victory has proved understandably popular.
