Salesman stole from bed firm
A BED salesman has admitted stealing hundreds of pounds from his employers.
Daniel Thorley, 30, betrayed bosses at Bensons for Beds at Lyme Green retail park in Macclesfield over a year.
His crime spree began on June 21, 2014, when he stole £100 from the retailer, which specialises in beds, mattresses and bedroom furniture.
He waited until May 26 , 2015, to offend again when he transferred £250 from the company to his own bank account.
Then on June 10 he stole £800 cash from the firm.
Appearing at Crewe magistrates’ court on February 12, Thorley, of Allen Street, Macclesfield, admitted fraud by false representation and two charges of theft.
He also admitted breaching a community order by failing to attend unpaid work sessions twice.
This was following his sentence when he was caught drink driving while almost three times the limit on Chestergate in Macclesfield on September 13, last year.
Thorley was given a community order with 200 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay back stolen money.
Bensons for Bed declined to comment.
