Fast food at hand as burger chain launches home delivery
FAST Food fans in Macclesfield will soon be able to order Whoppers without leaving their house as Burger King rolls out a new delivery service.
The chain has been running ‘below-the-radar’ trials of its delivery service in Manchester since before Christmas.
It has proved a roaring success that it is understood Burger King plans to introduce the service to branches in Macclesfield and Bolton.
The US-owned chain announced plans to pilot food-to-home deliveries at eight of its branches last year. But it has now rolled out the service to a further 34 branches across the UK.
Burger King in Fallowfield was the first in Manchester to launch the service last December, teaming up with delivery firm Hungryhouse to drop off to addresses around region.
Currently they deliver in a two-mile radius from 12pm to 10pm each day – with up to 400 orders being placed a week. Although delivery is free, there is a minimum spend of £14.
A spokesman for Burger King said: “The service has been good so far, considering it is still relatively new.”
