Care home shortlisted for employer accolade
A CARE home has been shortlisted for ‘best employer’ award in a national event.
Belong, which runs the Belong Care Village on Kennedy Avenue in Macclesfield, has been shortlisted for a ‘Skills and Care Accolade’.
It’s a national award recognising care organisations for their commitment to developing their workforce and improving the services and care for customers.
Belong is one of four organisations to be shortlisted to take home the ‘best employer of over 250 staff’ award.
Phil Orton, head of people at Belong, said: “We were delighted to hear that Belong had been shortlisted for a Skills for Care Accolade.
“Belong has been recognised for many things, from our buildings to our services, however our people are undoubtedly at the core of Belong’s success.
“Our staff live and breathe Belong and our values, so we believe that they deserve to be recognised and celebrated for their hard work.”
He added: “It is important to us that we offer person-centred care for our customers, but it is equally important that we take the same approach to our staff.”
