Woman stole £4k from firm
A WOMAN has avoid jail after admitting stealing more than £4,000 from her bosses at a car dealership.
Nicola Ann Moore, 32, stole cash on 11 occasions while working at ALM Garages, on Winterton Way, Macclesfield, over a 17-month period.
She started her thieving spree in January 2013, taking £500, but didn’t steal again until the following July when she took £349.
Moore struck again in the August, taking £227, and September, taking £349, before waiting until March the following year to hit three times, taking £649, £250 and £240.
She stole another £349 in May, £250 in June and her final acts of dishonesty were taking £500 twice in July 2014.
The thefts, which totalled £4,163, were discovered and Moore was sacked.
At Macclesfield magistrates’ court on February 25, Moore of Acacia Avenue, Cheadle Hulme, admitted 11 counts of theft.
She was sentenced to prison for six months, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to do 120 hour unpaid work.
She was ordered to pay every penny back in compensation.
ALM Garages declined to comment.
