Slim club for Jasmine Park
A WEIGHT-LOSS boss has moved into the newly opened Jasmine Park Community Hall.
Maggie Falconer has started running a branch of Slimming World at the venue in Broken Cross, every Thursday from 5pm-7pm.
The club is the first booking at the new hall which opened in January, three years after it was built.
The Jasmine Park site – which includes a play area, pavilion and two all weather pitches – had been at the centre of a row between the developer Taylor Wimpey and Cheshire East Council.
Maggie is now hoping to encourage people to visit the new facilities and join her club.
She said: “It’s a fantastic facility and I am really looking forward to welcoming new members to our lovely, warm group of like minded people who want to lose weight but enjoy life as well.”
Maggie got involved in Slimming World a few years ago when she wanted to lose weight for her daughter’s wedding.
She wanted other people to be able to change their lives too and became a consultant, winning awards for her work.
Maggie’s groups – she runs another club in Tytherington – have lost almost 60 stone since Christmas.
If you are interested in joining the group, pop down to the community hall any Thursday evening.
Alternatively you can find Maggie on Facebook at Slimming World Broken Cross.
